Twyford fell to a 6-wicket defeat at the hands of Rotherwick ITW.

Twyford arrived at Rotherwick with just 8 players, a frequent occurrence during the early stages of the season. The situation unfortunately wasn’t helped by Tony Butcher’s work commitments, Nick Moreland’s university exams and Alex Reidy, who was in Welwyn Garden City getting his car fixed (couldn’t pick a worse weekend!). Despite this, Twyford made a valiant effort with the bat in recording 118 all out (which was actually just the loss of 7 wickets). Rotherwick then chased it down with 6 wickets in the bag. Despite having only 8 players Twyford managed to pick up 5 points, which means the average stands at 13.5 for the season, enough for 9th place in the league.
