Due to the
lack of volunteer coaches for the U11 age group we have had to
pay for external coaches. As a result we may have to cap numbers
this year in this age group. Priority will therefore be given to
local children. We do not want to do this but have no
alternative if there is to be an U11 group this year. We
desperately need more willing volunteers to make a regular
commitment. The club will also pay for professional coaching
courses.
We
desperately need one or more managers for the U11 squad. If
no one volunteers to do this there will be no U11
matches this year.
The job
of manager can easily be shared between several parents. No
knowledge of or experience in playing cricket is required.
The manager keeps records of the squad, makes contact with
the opposition managers to confirm fixtures and makes sure
that the team arrives at their matches with all appropriate
kit.
